Life happened and I’m very late. But I did want to say a little bit about this episode.
It’s literally my second favourite episode of the season (my favourite being episode 5). Therefore I was so amazed when you said this episode was the worst so far for you. There’s so much in this episode that I adore.
The minisode is so silly and I adore it. I certainly had to warm up to the zombies. I don’t like zombies. They felt very out of place. But after letting that settle for a bit I can see it as a part of the absurdity that is this show.
What makes me love this episode so much is Aziraphale. This is Aziraphale just being so excited about his special interest and my little autistic heart is very happy about it. The excitement. The stimming. The nerves. He is arguably very clumsy about it but it makes him so happy so I’m happy. And Crowley is so supportive of it all and they’re being so cute. Everything about it just makes me giggle in glee.
Aziraphale in this episode is just at his very best. Also in present day the moments we get are so good. There’s so much to pick up in Michael’s performance. One bit I will never get over: the eyebrow raise in the car when Shax says that he isn’t Crowley’s type.

I found this minisode easier to swallow, certainly compared to the last episode. Probably because the theme is so separated from other episodes it’s easier to pretend it’s a cute spin-off and enjoy it. And Aziraphale and Crowley were indeed very cute ~~ (Although I still don’t like the blatant romantic hints …)
I start to miss Crowley… He really had so little to do in this season. In previous minisodes he at least played the role of giving Aziraphale different moral arguments, here he was just a good companion. Nice and gentle. I kind of hope he did more dramatic ” bad things”, like in season 1, giving those people real guns or messing with London’s phone lines. He’s so tamed in this season, which sort of make sense? since he didn’t have normal demon duties anymore. But I thought it’s still part of his ” nature”
I support Michael’s amnesia theory by the way. I’ve seen several memory loss theories on tumblr, suspecting that something might have happened when angels fall, or that because Crowley was a high-ranking angel or he saw something important, he got memory wiped. He did tend to selectively forget some people regarding his life before the fall (Aziraphale, Furfur, that dude in the ep6…). It would be an interesting thing to explore in season 3, if Crowley did have amnesia.
My best Aziraphale bit this week is that eyebrow raise when Shax said he wasn’t Crowley’s type XD So good. Always intriguing when Aziraphale stopped being all pure and nice. Best Crowley is when he finally got his car back. He was so adorably joyful. It’s a bit sad though, since the car seemed to like Aziraphale better…
Also everything happened on that stage was very cute and fun ~ love it.
