You mentioned something about Arthur looking very pale. When they were filming this, Bradley had a cold. There was a behind the scenes video and while they are waiting in Will’s house, Bradley keeps blowing his nose and looking quite tired.
I loved this episode. One of my favorites.
The Cosmeston Medieval village is a gorgeous little place. They used to have guides and animals (behind Hunith’s house was the pig sty) with lambs running around, but last time I was there, they just handed me a sheet of info on it and no animals due to cutbacks in finances. Still lovely.

bradley being ill on that day makes a lot of sense now!!
that’s such a shame about the animals and the guides to be honest. understandable, but tragic non the less 🙁

Oh, I forgot to ask something this morning. Just something I noticed. When Arthur stabbed Kanan, there was no blood on Kanan’s shirt, nor on Arthur’s sword. Are they allowed to show blood on this show? Was it like this in the previous eps? And if so, will that change once the show starts getting darker?
Also, my favourite bit from the ep was just a tiny little thing in the scene around the campfire with Merlin and his mom. When she gets up to go to bed, she just sort of pets him on the head and it struck me as such a mom thing to do. Like very loving. It just caught my attention and I loved it.
Once again back off to work!

I’m very late! Had a minor unexpected crisis at home. This is going to be quick!
Another really good episode with a double GoT representation, Doran Martell and Gendry. He looked very young…
I’ve only listened to half your podcast so far but I don’t get your constant frustration with Gaius. Well, I get it, it’s just never bothered me as much as it does you. I enjoy his character, he’s flawed like Uther but he does love Merlin. I don’t think he was insulting him btw with that remark about getting drunk, I got it more as teasing. Merlin didn’t seem to mind. But it’s great to hear how different people can react or view certain characters. 😊
Has Alexander Siddig ever sounded this posh? It trew me off for a minute…
Why didn’t Uther send some men after Arthur and Morgana once he noticed they were missing? Not an army, just a couple of men to drag them back home. I can’t believe that Uther would have just sat back and done nothing once he found out.
Do you think that Arthur has some kind of suspicion that it was actually Merlin using magic? I think his reaction and his comments to Merlin could be taken either way.
Morgana and Gwen were good in this ep, so nice to see them in trousers and kicking ass. I can already see the glimmers of a starting relationship between Gwen and Arthur. Love seeing the friendship between Arthur and Merlin developing more and Arthur getting more of an insight into Merlin’s past.
Only downside of this ep, not enough Uther! 😁
Lesson? I guess Merlin learned that the truth is not always the best way to go, that some things are more important… I am so going to suck at this game!
I have to run off to work now!
