I know this is ages ago but I did say I’d be relistening to the podcast lol.
Since you guys are now going into s5 after hiatus, something in this episode is worth looking out for. Mordred has a really creepy yet really cool moment when he stares and smiles softly at Arthur and the camera is on him and stays on him, until you hear the beat of a drum and his smile drops but his blue blue eyes stare still. This is something that carries on with his character even into adulthood by a different actor that I just think is so so clever.

I mean, obviously, after The Boy in the Striped Pajamas it was clear that Asa could act, however young Mordred isn’t the most challenging role, and due to the complicated filming schedule, and of course the limitations he had on him, at the age that he was, of how long he was allowed to work, I think they under-used him severly and also filmed a lot of sweating/waiting/looking reaction shots that they could just insert as appropiate in moments when they couldn’t film anything additionally with him, but that end scene with Arthur is AMAZING, and certainly for me (but I would have thought for most people) a moment that is still in your mind, several seasons on…
