This will always be ‘the Jethro episode’ for me! Overall, an interesting, eerie episode. Jethro is a character with quite a bit of shades which is impressive for a one-episode character. He has a mischievous, almost dark energy then a vulnerable side later on where he’s just a kid. Have to say, he is my favourite Colin Morgan character after Merlin (and really rocks the emo look) 😊

I thoroughly enjoyed this episode!
Interesting what you said about the panic coming too early – I’m not sure I have an opinion either way regarding pacing and such, how it affects the episode in question, but I do think it’s good that the panic comes from the people themselves, not from technical failure – it makes a point about mob mentality, how contagious fear and panic can be, and thus sets up a lot of what happens next. How one person can freak out a tiny bit too much for whatever personal reason, and it triggers fear in someone else, and it all spirals extremely quickly. It makes me think of various online scandals and panics (the Marina Joyce situation, for example, where this YouTuber basically had a mental health crisis but loads of people were convinced she had been kidnapped and was being held hostage because a few overly credulous people went “oh my god are there bars on her windows?!” (there weren’t, but it kinda looked a little bit like there were based on lighting and stuff if I remember correctly))… It just feels very real to me, I think, and it’s part of the psychological horror of the whole episode for me.
