Well if you think about it everything that clary has been through is because of her parents. Her mom not telling her the truth about the shadow world. Clary got thrown into this world with no guide so of course she does things blindly especially for the people she loves. When clary looks at you she looks at you with love and is always willing to see the good in people except for the seelie queen of course. She is willing to do absolutely anything for the people she loves and that will never change for clary. Also this show has the most incredible and talented cast. Especially Katherine mcnamara she did just amazing job. I cant think of anyone to play clary but her. When I picture clary from the books I see kat. So excellent job.

I think it is very interesting and definitely warrants further thought, how much of Clary being the way she is, is down to the way her parents treated her. They really did not do her any favours what so ever. because on top of the things we went into (her mum creating an entire world literally centred around clary and not teaching her anything about who she is) you’ve also got her mum lying to her for 18 years. No wonder that once she’s thrust into the shadow world, she charges ahead and does things herself, even when she doesn’t know anything about anything, because woah, severe trust issues, right?

Okay, but from my perspective, clary isnt young at all? In the books or the show, but there’s a difference in the maturity and due to my wierd hangup of not being able to watch a show before I read the book, it gives me so much whiplash cos I’m trying to meld it and the actions domt work, because for me, 16 is mature, but 18 is proper adult who should be good at adulting and stuff. Idk, its just a confusing.
There is NO WAY I am cross about kat answering my question, likeeee yk what I mean? Kat? KAT?! (No offense, you guys are awesome too)
P.S- ruth has made me want to watch good omens, but I’ll need to read the book first, so let’s see how long it takes for my library to get it haha

From the perspective of someone who went 16 and felt mature and turned 18 and felt like a grown up, good at proper adulting, I look back on that now and oh my god was I not good at adulting and stuff. Like, obviously it’s different for everyone but honestly, I don’t feel I hit ‘good at proper adulting’ until I was 25, and even now, 10 years later, I don’t feel very good at it… lol
how’s the hunt for good omens going?
